
Parent drop off will use the Weinbach long lane. This is the only door to be used for drop off students. The front door is not a drop off location. Door 7, which are the doors by the gym, will open at 8:00. All students will need to remain in their vehicle until school staff comes out at 8:00. We highly encourage families to
drop off children closer to 8:10 so students don’t have to sit in morning holding. All students will enter door 7 between 8:00 and 8:25. Students that need to eat breakfast will be released to the cafeteria at 8:10. Students who do not need breakfast will be released to homerooms at 8:15. Students who come to school before 8:00 will need to sign up for daycare and follow daycare drop off procedures.
All students are expected to be in their classrooms by 8:30. If your child needs breakfast, they must be dropped off in time to get to the cafeteria, eat and be in class by 8:30. Thank you for planning your morning routine accordingly.
Car dismissal for kindergarten, first & second grade is from 3:15-3:20. Kindergarten parents will park in the parking lot in front of the large playground or across the street. Kindergarten parents will walk over to the school and pick up their child. Older siblings of kindergarteners will go to the kindergarten rooms and walk out with the kindergartener. ( McCulley car riders at Door #2, and Wittmer and Cavins car riders at Door #3)
Parent pick up for first & second graders and siblings of first and second graders will exit out of door 12 in front of the school at 3:15.
Third, fourth, fifth, sixth graders will exit out door 7 at 3:15. Cars will line up in the long lane in two rows and place cars in park. Teachers will walk students down the middle of parked vehicles to load into their cars. Traffic will be stopped to release cars once all cars are loaded. Please refrain from cell phone usage during this time for student safety.
Car Tags will be provided to all families who pick their child up. They will be available at Open House. Cars should hang their “Car Tag” from your mirror every day at parent pick-up.
If there are changes in the way your child is going home, please notify the office
before 1:30. Phone call must come from a number linked to that child in PowerSchool for change to be made.
Any change in your child’s normal dismissal MUST be sent to teachers by written note or message. Emails/electronic messages cannot be guaranteed to be seen depending on time sent and are not verified unless the parent gets an acknowledgement back from the teacher.
All early pick ups must be completed by 2:15. After 2:15, thank you for using our normal pick up procedures. We appreciate your help in planning for appointments and activities accordingly.
